Everyone’s story is different, and I believe therapy should reflect that. There is no one size fits all approach to emotional support.
I work in a flexible and collaborative way, known as a pluralistic approach, drawing from different therapeutic styles depending on what feels most helpful for you, such as CBT, person centered, and physchodynamic therapy. Together, we decide the pace, focus, and direction of our work.
This means your therapy is shaped around you, your needs, and what you want to gain from the process.
Face to face sessions will take place at Melbourn Hub in South Cambridgeshire and last 50 minutes. Meeting in person offer’s presence, connection, and grounding, providing a calm and supportive space to talk and reflect together.
Video sessions take place via a secure video call and last 50 minutes. Seeing each other can offer a sense of connection similar to in-person therapy, while allowing you to join from the comfort of your own space.
Telephone sessions take place via phone call and last 50 minutes. Some people often find it easier to talk without being on camera, allowing them to focus on their thoughts and feelings without visual distractions.
I offer a free 20 minute consultation where we can gently explore what has brought you to therapy and what you may need from our work together. It’s also a space to ask questions, understand how I work, and get a sense of whether I’m the right therapist for you.
In our first session, we’ll go through a simple therapeutic agreement that explains how we work together, including boundaries, confidentiality, and practical details. We’ll also talk about what’s going on for you right now and begin to explore what you might hope for from therapy.
If you feel ready, complete the enquiry form and I’ll be in touch to arrange a free initial conversation. It’s a chance to talk things through and see how I can best support you.
